About EBS
The Elizabeth Blackburn School of Sciences (EBS) is a specialist government school dedicated to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics education. Named after Nobel laureate Elizabeth Blackburn, the school emphasises research-driven learning and scientific inquiry. Entry is at Year 11 or Year 12, by an Edutest test and an interview. Students sit the test in Year 10 or Year 11. The Edutest test covers Mathematics, Reading Comprehension, Verbal Reasoning and Science Reasoning, each 30 minutes. Shortlisted students are then interviewed. The school provides students with opportunities to engage in genuine research projects and develop strong critical thinking skills.
