About Sydney Girls
Sydney Girls High School is a selective-entry government school for girls, located in Surry Hills. It has a long tradition of academic excellence and consistently ranks among the top schools in New South Wales for HSC results. The school offers a broad curriculum with strong programs in sciences, humanities, and the arts. Year 7 entry is through the Edutest-administered Selective High School Placement Test. Students can also apply for Year 8-11 transfer entry via a shared Edutest exam with James Ruse, Baulkham Hills, North Sydney Boys, and North Sydney Girls — students sit the exam once to be considered for all participating schools.
