What the test covers

Academic Scholarships at Year 7 and Year 10 use an Edutest test. Current and prospective students can apply. Carey also offers General Excellence Scholarships for excellence in sport to students in Years 7, 10 and 11, and Access and Equity Scholarships for an applicant commencing Year 7 or Year 10. The three are listed on Carey's scholarships page.

Shortlisted General Excellence applicants are invited to an interview. Those who meet the selection criteria sit an academic test (Edutest), then a final interview with the Principal. Carey's Access and Equity page does not name a test. Scholarships are not available to international students.

Academic Scholarships usually cover 50% remission of tuition fees only. They do not cover the cost of application and entry fees, books, uniform, digital devices or consolidated charges (which include compulsory camps and excursions). Year 10 Academic Scholarship applicants must also send a copy of their latest school report to the Admissions Office at Carey. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted by the relevant school section to arrange an interview.

Carey's academic scholarships page does not publish question counts or times.
